About Apache Sands Service Center

Apache Sands Service Center is a family business that started in 1956. Harold Fredrickson, Sr. moved to Mesa from Wisconsin. He started out with a Standard gas station and repair shop.

In 1964, Harold “Hal” Fredrickson, Jr. took over the business with his wife Pat when Harold Frederickson, Sr. decided to retire. The business continued to expand over the years and Hal and Pat's kids became integral parts of the business.  Strong family values and a dedication to customer service are what make Apache Sands Service Center what it is today. Many of our employees have been with us for many years and love to provide high quality services to every customer.

Apache Sands Service Center has seen a large expansion from its original gas station and repair shop into the business that it is today. We are one of the largest employers in the East Valley with a full and self-serve gas station and an automotive repair shop that takes care of the needs of cars, light trucks, and recreational vehicles. Some of the automotive services that we provide include tire sales and repair, air conditioning repair and maintenance, cooling system repair and maintenance, scheduled maintenance, and wheel alignments to name a few.

Many customers appreciate using the full and self-service car wash and the detailing shop to keep their car, light truck, or RV clean and shiny.

Apache Sands has grown over the years and has pumps that feature full service. We are one of the few gas stations in the East Valley that offers Ethanol-blended fuel. Plus, we have propane for use in both vehicles or the barbeque grill. Finally, our convenience store is at your ready with a morning cup of coffee and a newspaper, or for those late night snacks.

The Apache Sands Towing Services has also grown through the years and now has a fleet of 31 tow trucks and roadside assistance vehicles. We have specialized in off-road extractions and have a fleet of heavy towing vehicles (including flatbeds) for hauling big trucks and Rvs.

Apache Sands Service Center is authorized to rent U-Haul trucks. We have a wide selection on hand as well as all packing and moving supplies.

Even though Apache Sands Service Center has grown, we still are focused on the needs of each and every customer. Our attention to customer service is what has maintained us a destination for automotive services in the East Valley for over 50 years.
